Madonna’s Rep: ‘No Plans For Madonna & Guy To Divorce’

NEW YORK, New York --

Despite the rumors of a split between Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie, a rep for the singer told Access Hollywood the couple is not planning to separate.

“Madonna’s husband Guy arrived in New York last night to be with his wife and family,” Madonna’s rep, Liz Rosenberg, said in a statement released to Access. “There are no plans for Madonna and Guy to divorce.”

Meanwhile, Us Weekly reported that Madonna has had multiple visits from New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez at her Central Park West apartment. The baseball superstar reportedly would leave the singer’s apartment “as late as midnight,” according to their source.

Madonna’s rep denied Us Weekly’s report of a relationship between the singer and the athlete.

“Madonna and Alex have the same manager, Guy Oseary,” Rosenberg told Access. “They have met. They know each other and Madonna took her kids to a Yankees game last week. There’s really not anything to comment on beyond that.”

A rep for Alex Rodriguez had “no comment” when contacted by Access.

Madonna’s rep noted, “It’s nothing new that people are airing tons of dirty laundry Madonna’s way lately – much of it untrue.”

And squashing any possible future rumors about the singer, her rep joked, “By the way, rumors of Madonna and Lil’ Wayne are quite exaggerated, as well.”
