LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Fans who missed “The Circus Starring Britney Spears” the first time around are in luck, the pop star is bringing her wildly successful tour back to North America.

Currently touring Europe, Britney will return to North America this August to perform in 20 cities, kicking off the new North American leg of her tour in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

“I’m so excited to bring The Circus back to North America. I’ve made some really cool changes to the show that I think my fans are really going to love. I also get to bring the show to some new cities we missed the first time around,” Britney said in a statement released to Access Hollywood.

“The Circus Starring Britney Spears” kicked off in New Orleans, Louisiana, on March 3, 2009, and is the highest grossing tour of 2009 in North America to date. With its cast of nearly 50 dancers, magicians, clowns and acrobats and a traveling staff of over 200, the $50 million extravaganza will return to North American with an unprecedented 60 tons of equipment in 34 trucks for what has already proven to be the most electrifying musical event ever.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Britney will also be taking her tour down under, as she is headed to Australia for the first time in her career.

Tickets for the new North American leg go on sale beginning Friday, June 19. Fans can visit BritneySpears.com for all the tour dates and more ticketing information.
