LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Makeup artist Paul Starr, who worked with celebrities including Angelina Jolie and Mariah Carey, was found dead Tuesday, Access Hollywood has confirmed. He was 48-years-old.

Starr was found dead in his LA apartment. He had not been seen or heard from in days, Women’s Wear Daily reported.

An autopsy will be performed on Thursday, a spokesperson for the LA Coroner’s Office told Access.

The cause of death is pending, but it appears to be from natural causes, according to the spokesperson.

Starr, also the author of “Paul Starr on Beauty: Conversations with Thirty Celebrated Women,” worked in the fashion and film industry for over 20 years. In addition to Angelina and Mariah, he helped create looks for Jessica Alba, Renee Zellweger and Jennifer Garner.
