Former Broadway star Marissa Jaret Winokur is looking fit and fabulous these days!
She shed a stunning 60 pounds last year and her 5-year-old son is her motivation to keep the weight off.
“I don’t want to be unhealthy. I want to be around for a long time,” she revealed.
The actress cites running and hiking as her go-to exercises, but she’s also adding biking to her regimen.
“Having recently lost over 60 pounds, I have found biking to be a great way to stay active and fit. I encourage all females to get on a bike and start riding to get healthy,” she tells Healthy Hollywood.
Marissa is also pedaling for a good cause. She’s helping the American Diabetes Association launch the Inaugural Tour de Cure Women’s Series on October 27 with routes designed for everyone from the recreational rider to the seasoned pro.
“My closet childhood friend has type 1 diabetes. I have been by her side and witnessed her daily difficulties of living with diabetes since we were kids. The women’s series is a chance to ride in sisterhood with women living with diabetes and raise awareness and funding to help stop diabetes,” adds Marissa.
