LOS ANGELES, CALIF. --

Mary J. Blige, Green Day, Keith Urban and Shakira have joined the already star-filled list of performers set to take the stage at the “2009 American Music Awards,” Access Hollywood has confirmed.

These artists join other previously announced acts including Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Eminem, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, The Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry and Adam Lambert.

“We’re very excited about having [these artists] all performing on one stage,” said American Music Awards producer Larry Klein. “Each year we try to have a variety of artists and sounds and I think these performers really showcase the depth of what this show brings to its fans.”

The “2009 American Music Awards” show will air live on ABC at 8 PM ET on Nov. 22.

For the third year, winners will be determined by online voting at www.amavote.com and www.mycokerewards.com. Artists will be honored in the categories of Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Latin and Contemporary Inspirational. Fans can go to the official homepage of the “2009 American Music Awards,” ama.abc.com, to find performer and presenter announcements, artist information, and more.

For the first time ever, dcp will stream a live pre-show on the red carpet for the 2009 “American Music Awards” at 3 PM PT/6 PM ET on Nov. 22. The “Official AMA Pre-Show,” presented by Coca-Cola, will feature hosts Julie Moran, Jenni Pulos, Jai Rodriguez and Taryn Southern as well as the “Coke Correspondent” winner of the ongoing national competition to become a red carpet correspondent at the 2009 AMA’s.

The pre-show will be available on ABC.com, Ustream.TV, Facebook and partner sites including mycokerewards.com, and mycoke.com, among others.
