LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Matt Damon’s wife Luciana gave birth to a baby girl, the actor’s rep confirmed to Access Hollywood.
“Matt and Lucy Damon had a baby girl named Gia Zavala on Wednesday, Aug. 20th. Everyone’s doing great,” Matt’s rep told Access. “She is a healthy baby girl.”
Baby Gia Zavala is the third girl for the Damon family. In June 2006, Matt and Lucy welcomed their first daughter together, named Isabella. Matt is also stepfather to Luciana’s 9-year-old daughter, Alexia.
In July, Matt joked about being the only male in a house full of females, telling USA Today, “I’m so outnumbered down here, it’s crazy.”
It appears the actor will have ample time for newborn Gia and his family in coming months, as he revealed other than doing reshoots for his upcoming project “Green Zone,” he has no plans for any other movies this year.
“[I’ll be] taking the rest of the year off, and I’m just hanging out with my family,” Matt said.
