Texas-born actor Matthew McConaughey is as charming as he is talented. He’s proven that he’s equally at home in a romantic comedy like “Failure to Launch” as he is in a big screen action film like “Sahara.” And he delivers both types of performances with an engaging twinkle in his piercing blue eyes, making it easy to understand why People magazine named this often-bare chested actor “The Sexiest Man Alive” in 2005.
Voted “Most Handsome” his senior year in high school, Matthew was acting in commercials well before graduating from college. He had a few successes but his break out role was a starring slot in the John Grisham movie “A Time To Kill,” which earned him an MTV Movie Award for best breakthrough performance.
In January 2008 he announced that his girlfriend, Camila Alves, was pregnant and the couple welcomed their son, Levi, on July 7, 2008.
