Mayoral Hopeful Levi Johnston Takes On Couric's Palin Questions

As Levi Johnston continues his quest to be mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, he’s being force to take the Sarah Palin test.

On Tuesday’s “The Last Word” with Lawrence O’Donnell on MSNBC, Levi was asked all the same question that Katie Couric now-infamously asked the former Alaska governor during her run for the White House with John McCain.

“I’m not gonna sit here and tell you that I read a lot of newspapers, I don’t get the New York Times. I don’t watch a whole lot of news. I don’t watch TV that often,” the former Playgirl model said.

On the topic of global warming, Levi said, “I don’t believe it’s man made,” and when it comes to the morning-after pill, “That’s a girl’s decision.”

He also added, “I don’t believe in abstinence,” explaining that his son with “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Bristol Palin “is the best thing that ever happened to me…. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”

When it comes to the war in Afghanistan, Levi wasn’t quite sure how to best handle the situation, telling Lawernce, “I have no idea.”

Earlier in the interview, Levi said, “Next year I will be ready.” The next mayoral election in Wasilla will take place in 2011.
