Melissa McCarthy earned an Academy Award nomination for her hilarious “Bridesmaids” performance, but the star confesses she’s still not used to mingling with Hollywood’s best and brightest.

Despite having 15 years in the business under her belt, the “Mike & Molly” star was recently rendered speechless while hobnobbing with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at the Golden Globe Awards.

“So I’m already in some weird altered state talking to Brad and Angelina — they’re so nice and chatty and really bubbly,” Melissa told Ellen DeGeneres on Thursday’s “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” of her Brangelina encounter at the 69th annual Golden Globes. “Finally, I got a little weird and I was like, ‘You have to stop for a minute because it’s a lot visually to take in.’

“I said that to them,” she added.

Ever the humble pair, Brad and Angie handled Melissa’s stammering request for silence with grace.

“They just kind of laughed,” Melissa said. “I said, ‘No, really, it is a lot visually to take in.’

“[Angelina] is like, weirdly glowing. She’s so beautiful. [Brad] is kind of cute too,” she continued. “And then I was like, ‘OK, I’m sorry.’ I needed to like, regroup, because they’re kind of a lot.”

Just as Melissa began to bask in the Brangelina afterglow, she was interrupted by yet another mind-blowingly famous icon – Meryl Streep.

“Literally, like, my brain snapped in two. And then I really didn’t know what to say. I just kept going, ‘Oh my God — you’re Meryl Streep!’” Melissa said. “And she was chatting like a normal human being. And I said, ‘Oh my God. I’m sorry. [I’ve] thought over the years so many things if I ever got to meet you what I would say. This is not it.’

“And, she goes, ‘Oh my God. Don’t even worry about it,’” she recounted, adding, “For some reason I felt I need to bookend it with, ‘Oh my God. You’re Meryl Streep.’”
