Arena Owner: LA City Attorney Bullied Him To Pay $6M For Policing Jackson Memorial

LOS ANGELES, Calif.

The owner of the Staples Center arena said the city attorney bullied and threatened him in an effort to recover millions of dollars the city spent to police last summer’s Michael Jackson memorial.

The city attorney’s office countered that Anschutz Entertainment Group, or AEG, is a political heavyweight that’s used to getting its way and is simply upset at not getting a free ride.

Hundreds of mourners, including Whoopi Goldberg, paid tribute to the late Patrick Swayze at a private memorial on Sunday, People reported.

Family and friends of the star, who died last month of pancreatic cancer at the age of 57, Patrick’s life at the service, held Sunday on the Los Angeles Sony Studios lot.

Michael Jackson will spend eternity rocking his signature white glove, according to an online report.

The King of Pop will be buried wearing a white leather glove designed for the singer 10-12 years ago by Dorothy Gaspar of LA’s Gaspar Gloves, TMZ reported.
