You’d think that 24-year-old actress Anna Kendrick would feel a bit of pressure, being in not one, but two, of the biggest films of the 2009 holiday season.
Rather, very unlike the hyperactive human Jessica character that she plays in “The Twilight Saga,” she is cool, calm and collected about the upcoming wave of publicity that she’s currently undergoing.

It’s been a big year for Jason Schwartzman — a new album with his band Coconut Records, film roles in “Funny People” and the November-due “Fantastic Mr. Fox” and the starring part in the HBO show “Bored To Death” — but he told AccessHollywood.com at the “Fantastic Mr. Fox” premiere at the AFI Fest in Hollywood on Friday that one thing stood out.
“The highlight of the year is of course getting married,” Jason said of his July wedding to designer Brady Cunningham. “Married life is incredible — it’s great, it’s like having the most incredible roommate in the world.”

Movie audiences accepted a proposal from Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, who scored the summer’s first big romantic comedy hit.
Bullock and Reynolds’ “The Proposal” took in $34.1 million to open as the weekend’s No. 1 movie, according to studio estimates Sunday. The Disney flick delivered the biggest opening ever for Bullock, nearly double that of her previous best of $17.6 million for the 2007 paranormal thriller “Premonition.”

PARK CITY, Utah
The Sundance Film Festival’s prizes for best U.S. drama on Saturday went to “Push,” the dark yet hopeful story of a young woman finding her way out of nightmarish circumstances in 1980s Harlem.
Based on the 1996 first novel by the poet Sapphire and directed by Lee Daniels, “Push” won both the grand jury and audience awards. The film version is subtitled “Based on the novel by Sapphire” to distinguish it from the Dakota Fanning-Chris Evans sci-fi thriller due out next month.
