Michael Douglas has opened up about his son, Cameron Douglas, who is facing a minimum of a decade in prison, the result of drug trafficking charges.

In the latest issue of Vanity Fair, the “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” star said that what’s going on with Cameron is very tough.

NEW YORK, N.Y.

Michael Douglas’ troubled son Cameron was denied bail and a chance for outpatient addiction treatment Thursday as he awaits sentencing in a federal drug-dealing case.

Wearing dark-blue federal prison garb, the screen scion said nothing during the hearing at a Manhattan federal court. He briefly greeted his mother, Diandra, and other supporters as he was taken back to jail. His father did not attend the hearing.

The actor appeared in a Manhattan courtroom where his son, 31-year-old Cameron Douglas, had a bail hearing Friday.

The hard-luck son of Michael Douglas pleaded guilty on Wednesday to dealing large quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine while holed up in a trendy Manhattan hotel where he was arrested last year.

Cameron Douglas, 31, told a judge that a New York contact first asked him if he could score the drugs in 2006. After that, “I began supplying on a regular basis.”
