Michael Douglas On Son’s Drug Bust: ‘We Are Devastated’

“We are devastated about the recent behavior of our son Cameron. Any family who has dealt with substance abuse knows how difficult it can be,” the star said in a statement to People on Wednesday.

Cameron was arrested on charges of methamphetamine possession and trafficking in July, and released on bail with the initial condition of home detention.

The celebrity son was transferred from home confinement to the Metropolitan Correctional Center on Tuesday, the Center confirmed to Access Hollywood.

His transfer followed a previously reported incident on Monday, when girlfriend Kelly Sott allegedly gave him an electric toothbrush with dime bags of heroin hidden inside. Kelly was also arrested following the incident.
