LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Michael Jackson will be laid to rest with his single signature white glove – and it was a decision made by his sister, La Toya Jackson.

A source close to the Jackson family confirmed to Access Hollywood that La Toya “definitely wanted him to have his trademark white glove.”

In addition, it was La Toya who also suggested her brothers – who served as the pallbearers — each wear one white rhinestone glove during the star’s memorial on Tuesday.

However, contrary to previous online reports, Michael won’t be wearing the glove in his final resting place.

“La Toya had Michael’s rhinestone glove laid in the casket,” the source added. “Michael wore a black leather glove on each hand [in the casket].”

In fact, it was La Toya whom the family chose to dress the King of Pop in his final attire.

“She wanted him to look incredible. She called in his longtime stylist and had the most incredible outfit made for him,” the source noted. “He looked wonderful – like an angel.”

But fashion isn’t the only focus for Michael’s younger sister in the wake of his death.

La Toya has also been “extremely instrumental in every aspect and every detail” of the funeral arrangements, as well as watching after Michael’s three children.

A trained law enforcement official, herself, La Toya has also been “heavily involved” in the investigation into Michael’s death.

“She’s still working around the clock with detectives until this case is resolved,” the source said.
