A family source confirmed to Access that the children’s nanny, Grace Rwaramba, was driving the kids at the time of the incident but that it was a security car that was struck by the photographer. None of Jackson’s children were in the car involved and they were unharmed.

“The damage was minor and there were no injuries,” LAPD Sgt. Ann Pickering told People. “A report was taken and it’s under investigation.”

TMZ reported that witnesses saw the driver who hit the Jackson car flee the scene after the crash.

Leaving the site of an accident without exchanging information is a crime in California. The unidentified driver could face a felony hit-and-run charge.
