Chris Evans has reportedly been offered the lead role in “The First Avenger: Captain America.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris – who has already played superhero Johnny Storm in two “Fantastic Four” movies – has been offered the role of the shield-slinging American hero in up to three movies, plus, “The Avengers” movies.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif.
Rumors are swirling about casting the lead in Paramount’s upcoming “The First Avenger: Captain America,” and director Joe Johnston has said that an announcement is expected in the upcoming weeks.
But on Friday, one candidate, Mike Vogel, confirmed that he was in the running.
Although he didn’t say much, Vogel told HitFix that he was, “trying not to jinx (it),” the possibility of stepping into the role of Steve Rogers. He also stated briefly that it was a “great opportunity.”
