The star is partnering with the video site for Video Volunteers, a program to urge fans to make videos to showcase their favorite service organizations. Submissions are due by June 23, with the top three clips earning a spot on the YouTube homepage at the end of the month.

Miley, an ambassador for Service Nation, announced the new initiative, of course, in a YouTube video.

“There are so many ways to get involved,” she says in the clip. “Today, I’m asking you to participate.”

Miley is a popular, personable presence on YouTube – she famously created Miley’s dance-off videos a couple of years ago. Her video blogs and clips such as her “Good-bye Twitter” rap have earned millions of views.
