NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Billy Ray Cyrus said he believed that “Hannah Montana” destroyed his family, but on Thursday, daughter Miley Cyrus said she misses her hit Disney show.
The teen star stopped by “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday and dished about her upcoming hosting gig on “Saturday Night Live.”
“I’m super stoked, we’ve been rehearsing all day, It’s been fun,” Miley told Jimmy.
“I love seeing you do funny stuff. I miss the ‘Hannah Montana’ days,” Jimmy told the actress.
“I miss doing that stuff, too, you know. I love doing this and writing the skits and everything [on ‘SNL’]. I mean, I kinda wanna beg to let them let me stay for a little while,” Miley continued. “Honestly, you can say whatever is on your mind and it will work in whatever scene you’re doing cause it’s all ridiculous and so you can’t just say anything you want, and they’re like, ‘Yeah, that’s funny, that is really stupid.’ And that’s really fun.”
“I love that, cause you’re fun like that,” Jimmy said.
“I’m fun like that, OK?” she repeated, adding, “Oh, thanks… This is awkward!”
Jimmy pressed, asking again about her former Disney series, “Do you miss the show?”
“Yeah,” Miley added.
In more Miley “SNL” news, freshman featured player Vanessa Bayer, who does an astounding and hilarious impression of the teen star, spoke to AOL TV Squad’s about spoofing Miley.
“I’ve heard that she likes it, and she likes ‘The Miley Cyrus Show.’ I’m very excited to meet her,” Vanessa said prior to Miley starting rehearsals for the NBC late-night program. “I think it’s going to be so much fun having her as a host.”
The singer-turned-actress hosts “SNL” — with musical guests The Strokes — on March 5 at 11:30 PM on NBC.
