Country star Mindy McCready has been hospitalized in Nashville, Tennessee, after cutting her wrists, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
The 33-year-old, who spent time in rehab and jail earlier this year, reportedly took pills and cut her wrists late Tuesday evening, while staying at the home of her brother, Timothy McCready.
According to the incident report filed by Nashville’s Metropolitan Police Department, Mindy arrived at Timothy’s house “intoxicated” Tuesday night, following a trip downtown. He found his sister “stumbling in the kitchen,” after she arrived at his home, the report stated.
Later that evening, Mindy reportedly called her assistant “saying she needed him to come over, [as] she had done something bad,” the police report read.
Her brother subsequently checked on Mindy and “discovered that she had cut her wrists and taken several pills.”
She was described at the time of the incident as “not very alert and her bed had blood on it,” according to the report.
Police requested a psychiatric evaluation following the incident, and according to a source, Mindy was hospitalized.
