LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

For the first time in a while, former “The O.C.” star Mischa Barton’s been out and about without any guy candy on her arm — and she’s loving it.

“It’s great, actually,” Mischa told People at the Arcade boutique opening in LA on Thursday. “I’m not used to being single, but it’s really nice.”

The young star reportedly split last month from Rooney frontman Taylor Locke, and has previously been linked to Brandon Davis and Cisco Adler.

And Mischa said other single girls should enjoy it while it lasts.

“Just embrace it,” she said. “It’s important to breathe for a minute.”
