LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Despite rumors that Mischa Barton was slated for the remake of “Melrose Place,” the actress is headed to a different CW show, this one produced by Ashton Kutcher.
According to People, Mischa has been tapped to star in “A Beautiful Life,” as an experienced model named Sonia. “Ashton developed it about his life growing up as a model from Iowa, so it’s about the whole fashion world that he was in,” Mischa told the mag Thursday night at a GQ magazine-hosted party celebrating the new men’s fragrance Burberry the Beat.
“And obviously I have a lot of friends in the fashion world,” she continued. “So I’m used to being around a lot of people in that.”
As for her role she’ll play on the new Ashton produced show? “[I play] a bitchy model-type character, like it’s a totally different character for me,” she said.
Mischa will reportedly begin shooting “A Beautiful Life” at the end of the month.
