Drug Possession Charge Against T.I.‘s Wife Dropped

ATLANTA, Ga. -- Caption Tameka “Tiny” Cottle and T.I. visited the AXE Lounge in Southampton, New York, on August 13, 2010 The wife of rapper T.I. is no longer facing charges for possession of ecstasy after she finished a drug diversion program.

Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, said Thursday that the charge was dismissed after Tameka “Tiny” Cottle finished 24 sessions of a certified drug diversion program in Georgia.

Cottle was arrested on Sept. 1 along with her husband during a traffic stop on Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip. The 35-year-old pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor charge in November.

Prosecutors declined to charge T.I., citing a federal judge’s decision to send him to prison for 11 months for violating his probation on weapons charges and because only four ecstasy pills were found on the Grammy Award winner.
