Lindsay Lohan hasn’t talked to her father, Michael Lohan, for some time, and the actress has turned to Access Hollywood to speak out against her big-mouthed dad.

Lindsay says she’s tired of Michael publicly commenting on her mom Dina, sister Ali, and friend Samantha Ronson, and finds it unfortunate that he turns to the media to get attention.

“He’s out of control,” she told Access from the set of “Ugly Betty,” where she’s filming several guest appearances for the ABC show’s third season.

Michael Phelps To Make ‘Video Music Awards,’ ‘Saturday Night Live’ Golden

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Michael Phelps has already brought home the gold – now he’s bringing it to TV. The record-breaking Olympic swimming champ will host the season premiere of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” on Sept. 13 and make an appearance on MTV’s “Video Music Awards” on Sept. 7, Access Hollywood has learned.

Sources close to MTV confirmed to Access that Michael Phelps would be involved in this year’s “VMAs,” though there’s no word yet on what he’ll do on the show.

On “SNL,” host Phelps will make his acting debut, according to a statement released to Access. He’ll be appearing alongside one of his favorites, musical guest Lil Wayne.

Brad Pitt Gets Award For Best Actor At Venice International Film Festival, One Year Later

The Venice International Film Festival honored Brad Pitt with its Best Actor trophy on Wednesday, People reported — but not for one of this year’s films. The award was held for him since winning last year for “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.”

Brad is at the festival for his latest, “Burn After Reading,” the Coen brothers’ dark comedy in which he costars with frequent screen partner George Clooney. Pitt plays a gym employee who stumbles upon a disc of secret CIA information.

‘Suge’ Knight Arrested In Vegas Drug, Assault Case

LAS VEGAS, Nevada --

Police say rap music mogul Marion “Suge” Knight is in a Las Vegas jail on drug and assault charges after he was accused of beating his girlfriend while brandishing a knife.

The 43-year-old Knight was arrested about 6:40 a.m. Wednesday on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a controlled substance, possession of dangerous drugs without a prescription and battery domestic violence.

Gas Prices Ground Diddy’s Private Jet

Even Diddy’s complaining about high prices at the pump. The rap mogul took to his YouTube video blog to rant about the rising cost of gas, which he says has grounded his private jet.

“Even your boy is being affected by gas prices!” he said in the video, which was filmed at an airline gate as he entered a plane.

‘Burn After Reading’ Opens Venice Film Festival

The Coen brothers wrote their dark comedy, “Burn After Reading,” with stars George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Frances McDormand in mind. Not necessarily a compliment.

The Venice Film Festival opened Wednesday with the gala premiere of the movie, a tale about idiots — and what happens when their worlds collide. “Burn After Reading” is playing out of competition for the Golden Lion, which will be awarded on the festival’s closing night Sept. 6.

‘Transformers’ Writer: Shia’s Most Dangerous Scenes On The Way

Injured star Shia LaBeouf’s most dangerous scenes are yet to come, Roberto Orci, co-writer of “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” told Scifi.com.

Shia arrived back on the set last week following his July 27 car accident and subsequent hand surgery, from which he remains bandaged.

“We incorporated his injury into it,” Orci said. “Not because it was absolutely necessary, but [director] Michael [Bay] in particular wanted to be able to protect him on the set. [Bay] wanted to make sure that we weren’t playing around with his injury.”

L.A.’s Kokomo Café is front and center of the new class’s hangout as the design and location of the café has been selected as the setting of the “Peach Pit” for The CW’s new “90210.”

With production in full swing on The CW’s new “90210,” countless locations were scouted all over Los Angeles to be considered as the location for the new “Peach Pit,” the well known diner frequented by the characters in the original series. The production will shoot several more scenes at the location until their replica set is completed.

Dr. Dre’s Son Found Dead

Dr. Dre’s son, Andre Young Jr., has died, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

Andre was found Saturday by his mother at their home in Woodland Hills, LA County Coroner’s Lt. John Kades told the Associated Press.

“Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son Andre Young Jr. Please respect his family’s grief and privacy at this time,” a rep for the rapper said in a statement released to Access.
