Ed Norton (& His Agent) vs. Marvel Studios (2010): Ed may be The Hulk, but it’s his agent, Brian Swardstrom, who apparently has all the anger. Swardstrom had a heated exchange of words with Marvel Studios when they decided not to re-cast Edward Norton as The Hulk in the upcoming ensemble film, “The Avengers” because they wanted someone “who embodies the creativity and collaborative spirit of our other talented cast members.” Swardstrom quickly retaliated, calling Marvel’s comments “unprofessional, disingenuous and clearly defamatory.” Ed, like the true gentleman, acknowledged that while he was “sad”, the green monster would live on, with or without him - “Hulk is bigger than all of us, that’s why we love him.”
