LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Fans of “Community,” “Parks and Recreation” and “Mercy” can look forward to more of the NBC shows.

The network picked up full seasons of each, including the sophomore season of “Parks and Recreation,” Access Hollywood has confirmed.

“Community,” starring Joel McHale and Chevy Chase, has been a new addition to NBC’s Thursday night comedy block, along with “Parks and Recreation,” “30 Rock” and “The Office.”

“We are very pleased with the critical and audience reaction to our wonderful new comedy ‘Community,’” NBC entertainment president Angela Bromstad said in a statement. “The cast and producers are delivering a first-rate, quality show that is very promising as the newest of NBC’s first-rate Thursday-night comedies.”

Joel himself Tweeted about the news, using the opportunity to poke fun at Ryan Seacrest.

“Community got picked up for it’s 2nd half of our 1st season!” he Tweeted. “I’m as excited as Seacrest in a Sephora!”

Bromstad also approved, “Mercy,” the Thursday night medical drama.

“This drama has found a dedicated audience and continues to build in the ratings,” she added. “We’ve seen future episodes, and we’re confident ‘Mercy’ can be a strong player for us.”

Absent from the list of pick-ups was Monday night’s field-medic drama “Trauma.”
