New ‘Hunger Games’ Trailer Debuts

Caption Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth) in ‘The Hunger Games’LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- “The Hunger Games” will debut on the big screen in less than two months, and Lionsgate has released a second trailer for the highly anticipated first installment of the trilogy based on Suzanne Collins’ bestselling novels.
The latest spot gives fans a bit of a better glimpse into the world of Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) and Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth).
“As long as you have it, nothing bad will happen to you. I promise,” Katniss says to sister Primrose (Willow Shields) as she gives her a Mockingjay pin prior to the Reaping.
Later in the trailer, Katniss’ stylist, Cinna – played by Lenny Kravitz – is seen pinning a Mockingjay pin on Katniss’ uniform before sending her into the deadly games.

In more “Hunger Games” news, Lionsgate announced on Thursday that the film will be released in IMAX for one week, when the movie hits theaters on March 23, 2012.
