LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans

Canned Conrad?: In news we wouldn’t find entirely shocking if it turned out to be true, The New York Daily News’ Gatecrasher claims that even though MTV’s “The Hills” is in full swing filming new episodes, star Lauren Conrad is already done shooting her scenes. Their source claims LC’s contract was up in March. “The producers would make Lauren react to a lot of potential scenarios, because they’re not yet sure how the finale will play out with the other characters,” their source claimed. “They would literally give her directions like, ‘Now react to Stephanie Pratt being pregnant!’ Lauren would just giggle and go for it. She also had to pretend to react to a fake story line about Audrina and Brody hooking up.” MTV denies these allegations, telling the paper, “We couldn’t cut a show with Lauren’s fake reactions.” In addition to the heaps of delicious young socialite drama, we have a whole new reason to tune into the MTV series.

Khloe Fires Back: After Trump sent her packing on Sunday’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” Khloe Kardashian had the last word on her blog on Monday. “It wasn’t because of my work ethic, it wasn’t because I was slacking,” she wrote, “It was because of my DUI. I don’t think I should have been fired for that reason alone. I just wish Mr. Trump would have handled the situation a little differently.” Big sis Kim also came to her sister’s defense on her own blog, writing, “I was a little disappointed at how she was given the boot. She obviously made an awful mistake but definitely has taken responsibility for her actions and we are all very proud of her.”

Count On The Countess: Despite her split from Count Alex de Lesseps, “The Real Housewives of New York City” star Countess LuAnn de Lesseps told Us Weekly that she’s keeping her title – the one she uses when referring to herself in the third person. “Absolutely, darling!” she told the mag. “I’ll always be the Countess!” And, we’re guessing you’ll never stop reminding us!

Cher Still Making ‘Em Weep!: And in real royalty news, pop queen Cher caused quite a stir Saturday night at the LIV nightclub in Miami – she even made the some of the crowd turn on the waterworks. “Nobody knew Cher was coming, but when she walked in, a group of female fans started hysterically crying… everyone recognized he,” a club source told the New York Post’s Page Six. But Cher didn’t let the fan frenzy stop her night. “[She] didn’t let any of it faze her,” a source said. “She was dancing all night and was so nice to all her fans.”
