LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Nick Carter stepped out for the first time since his sister’s death on Thursday.

The 32-year-old singer performed at New York City’s Irving Plaza, just two days after sister Leslie Carter died.

According to E! Online, Nick played a slew of his own songs and cover songs, including U2’s “With or Without You” and Rod Stewart’s “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?” and also dedicated one of his own to his late sister.

During, “Falling Down,” he told the audience, I never thought I’d have to, but I’d like to dedicate this song to my sister.”

Nick Cater super fan Galina Matlin told E!, “Nobody would have begrudged him if he decided to cancel his show, but he’s a trooper and we love him for that.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, according to an incident report, released by the Chautauqua County Office of The Sheriff, Leslie apparently suffered an overdose on Tuesday. An official cause of death has not been released, pending the results of an autopsy.
