LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Move over Chad Michael Murray – Nick Lachey is coming to town.

Nick will guest star on The CW’s “One Tree Hill” later this season, E! Online reports.

The former boy-bander-turned-reality-star will apparently be playing himself on the show. Nick pays a visit to Tree Hill after Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) is hesitiant to sell one of the songs she wrote for Nick to a record label.

It’s a busy time for Nick, who is gearing up for his own album release (“Coming Up For Air”) in the spring.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the album features a duet (“Temporary”) with new “American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi.

“She and I wrote it together,” Nick told Access. “Initially, just in the studio, we thought, ‘All right, let’s sing it together and then we’ll maybe find someone else to be on it’ but she did such a great job on it.”
