LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Nicole Kidman is hoping to spread peace in Kenya as she embarks upon a trip on behalf of the United Nations.
According to The New York Post’s Page Six, the Oscar-winning actress is traveling to the African country to launch an initiative by UNIFEM – the United Nations Development Fund for Women.
Nicole is reportedly scheduled to visit Kenyatta Hospital and a local school on Friday.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, earlier this month Nicole testified before a House Foreign Affairs subcommittee that is working on legislation addressing international violence against women.
When asked if Hollywood had contributed to the problem, Nicole said, “probably,” but quickly added, “I can’t be responsible for all of Hollywood but I can certainly be responsible for my own career.”
