Nicole Polizzi Reveals Her Dancing With The Stars Diet & Splurges
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi slimmed down after giving birth to her son, Lorenzo, last year and has kept her trim figure with plenty of hard work on “Dancing with the Stars,” but reveals to Access Hollywood she still splurges now and then.
“I was really fat,” the MTV star told Access during a recent rehearsal with pro partner Sasha Farber. “And, I’m so small! It’s like where was it?”
The pint-size star explained that she’s actually gained some weight since she began competing on the ABC reality series.
“I’m gaining more weight now, because I know that I’m training a lot, so I’m eating a lot more ‘cause I feel like I have to or I’m gonna faint!” she said.
But the star’s “DWTS” diet is very health conscious – most of the time.
“I basically just eat chicken and veggies, and I do splurge with my ice cream sometimes. So, if we have like a crazy practice and know I’ll sweat a lot, then I’m gonna have ice cream,” she told Access.
On “DWTS,” the MTV star has dropped the “Snooki” from her name, but she explained that she’ll always have a place in her life for her “Jersey Shore” moniker.
“Snooki is like my brand, so obviously it’s always going to be a part of me. But I feel like as a woman and as a mother I am Nicole, and I’m just trying to introduce to the world that my real name is Nicole,” she told Access.
Another part of herself that she’s not introducing to the world is her midriff.
“I’m not comfortable with showing like my belly just because I have stretch marks from the baby. And I know you’re supposed to be proud of them but it just looks a little crazy down there,” she said. “So I don’t want to go too crazy with showing skin, but I feel like our costumes so far have been very classy and sexy, and that’s what I want to stick with.”
