LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
It looks like Nicole Richie might soon be showing off her jazz hands.
According to US Weekly, Nicole has been offered the part of Roxie Hart in "Chicago" on Broadway.
"She's definitely interested and weighing it out with the timing of the baby," a source close to Nicole told Us. "It is in the super early stages of discussions and no decision has been made yet."
The Broadway stint would be great timing for Nicole, as her boyfriend and father of her baby, Joel Madden, recently bought a new home in New York.
"It would give her a reason to really show her talent and to stay in the new place in NY Joel just got. It also shows people are really excited about Nicole right now," the source added.
But would Nicole be up for the challenging role that Renee Zellweger played in the screen adaptation of the play?
"You have to be able to act, dance and sing," Robert Viagas, founder of Playbill.com tells Us. "And if you're able to pull off all three, the entertainment world notices."
Nicole gave birth to her first child, Harlow Winter Kate Madden, with Joel in January.
