Pussycat Doll and “Dancing with the Stars” champ Nicole Scherzinger is slated to appear in a flashback episode of the hit CBS show “How I Met Your Mother,” according to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello.
The 32-year-old star will reportedly play Jessica Glitter, former BFF of Robin “Sparkles” Scherbatsky – the spirited Canuck with a pop star past (played by Cobie Smulders).
“It’s going to be a satisfying third chapter in the Robin Sparkles trilogy,” executive producer Craig Thomas told Ausiello. “It’s a prequel to both ‘Let’s Go to the Mall’ and ‘Sandcastles in the Sand’ [Robin Sparkles music videos].”
“It’s the origin story of Robin Sparkles,” added fellow EP Carter Bays. “You see where she came from.”
The episode, titled “Glitter,” will air during the November sweeps period.
