The couple is expecting a son, Kelly’s rep confirmed to People.
John and Kelly celebrated the news at a baby shower with close friends earlier this month. The gathering was reportedly held outdoors at their LA-area home, and featured a bird’s nest theme.
“[It] was a wonderful day,” shower co-host Keisha Whitaker told the mag.
The ecstatic couple initially announced they were expecting in May via their personal websites, saying, “It’s impossible to keep a secret… Especially one as wonderful as this.”
The joyful news marks continued recovery for John and Kelly, who tragically lost their 16-year-old son Jett to a seizure in January 2009.
The new beloved bundle of joy will join 10-year-old big sister Ella Bleu.
