Olympic swimmer Amanda Beard is a proud new mom.
The multi-gold medalist and her husband, photographer Sacha Brown, welcomed their first child – a boy – on Tuesday, according to People.
Blaise Ray Brown was born in Los Angeles, weighing 7 lbs., 12 oz., and was 19 inches long.
“I was in labor for about 16 hours and it was all worth it. He is happy and healthy and everything went as planned,” Beard told People. “It was the most amazing experience that Sacha and I have ever experienced. We are so happy to be new parents! This is gonna be the best adventure ever.”
Beard, 27, and Brown, 34, tired the knot in May 2009 on Wakatobi, an island off southeastern Indonesia.
The Olympic swimming champ was five-and-a-half months pregnant at the time of the wedding.
