“Once Upon A Time” has found its Captain Hook.

Colin O’Donoghue, best known for starring alongside Anthony Hopkins and Ciaran Hinds in last year’s thriller “The Rite,” will play the nefarious pirate on the ABC series, according to Entertainment Weekly’s Inside TV blog.

“OUAT’s” version of the classic “Peter Pan” villain will be “a confident pirate who never backs down from a fight; a man who seeks to crush and humiliate his enemies,” the blog reported. However, the character will also possess the “meticulous style and manners of a proper gentleman.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, a teaser video played at the end of the “OUAT” panel at Comic-Con 2012 in July revealed the pirate would pay a visit to Storybrooke.

In the video, a shadowy character was seen breaking into Mr. Gold’s Pawnshop, smashing a display case and affixing a hook to his hand.

“Once Upon A Time” Season 2 premieres on Sept. 30 at 8/7c on ABC.
