When people call Oprah Winfrey the most influential woman in the world, it’s not an exaggeration. As one of a small handful of people who can use only a single name, Oprah came from a difficult childhood light-years away from her multi-billionaire life today. Drive, determination and a not so insignificant amount of talent, have propelled the undisputed talk show queen and entrepreneur to where she is today.
Not only is she unbelievably successful, but she’s also practically worshipped by her fans for her caring and loving guidance of even the most intimate parts of their lives.
When talk shows in the 90’s became ever more tabloid, Oprah took a different direction and built a show that sought to help her fans constantly improve their lives with beauty secrets, book recommendations and soul-searching. To complete the empire, she’s also added the hugely popular “O” magazine, Oprah.com and co-founded the Oxygen Network.
