NEW YORK, New York --

Paris Hilton may never earn an Oscar nomination — but at least she’s got a shot at a Webby.

The time has come for honoring not only the best of film and television, but also news, viral videos, podcasts and everything else online.

The 13th annual Webby Awards will recognize excellence in all things Internet; including NBC.com, Yahoo’s OMG!, and even last year’s infamous Shiba Inu Puppy Cam.

The star-studded nominee list includes Paris for her response to Sen. John McCain’s campaign ad, Rob Corddry’s “Children’s Hospital,” starring Megan Mullally and “Prop 8: The Musical” featuring Jack Black, Neil Patrick Harris, Rashida Jones and more.

Also receiving nods were NewYorkTimes.com, The Onion and FAIL blog.

Unlike standard award shows, fans decide on the Webby winners. The public can vote on each category until April 30, and the awards will be announced May 5.

Following the announcement, winners will be honored at a New York City gala on June 8 hosted by Seth Myers of “Saturday Night Live.”
