As heiress to the reportedly vast Hilton hotel and real estate fortune, Paris has given a whole new life and glitter to the old adage that there’s no such thing as bad publicity. Her current status as one of the names regularly on the top of the most fascinating people lists is largely due to her extremely well funded campaign to recreate herself as an international celebutante.

Oh, and a little sex tape with fellow Hollywood-scene regular Rick Salomon (later sold as a video titled “One Night In Paris”) happened to launch her into Superstardom and to kick off the celebrity sex-tape craze.

Although often criticized as woefully short on talent, it doesn’t seem to matter at all to her legions of fans. Paris can’t make a move, or have a well-timed public spat, without the paparazzi swarming her, while the rest of the world waits with bated breath for her next spectacle.

Model, “singer” and “actress,” Paris is leaving no stone unturned in her quest for single-name celebrity status. But only time will tell if her talent or notoriety will win out.
