LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
A dog fight is brewing over whether or not two of Paris Hilton’s beloved pooches are dead or alive.
According to the paparazzi agency X-17 Online, two of Paris Hilton’s pups fell prey to coyotes, leaving the hound-loving heiress “devastated.”
Although X-17 did not know which of Paris’ canines were killed, the agency reported that her beloved Tinkerbell was safe and sound.
But is this just a shaggy dog story?
When contacted by Access Hollywood, Paris’ rep claimed the paparazzi agency is barking up the wrong tree.
Upon arriving in Milan with his client for the couture shows, the rep told Access Hollywood, “This story is completely false and [I] do not know how it developed.”
Following the rep’s statement, X-17 told Access they stand by their story, which it claims was based on two reliable sources.
While X-17 stood by their story, Paris’ mom said you shouldn’t believe every report that comes out about the Hilton family.
When AccessHollywood.com ran into Kathy Hilton at the party for Miami singer Jamie Jo at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday night, Paris’ mom said, “It very well could have happened,” regarding the story. “But I don’t know. I spent all day with Nikki.”
Kathy did add that the story was probably false, confirming that Paris or her staff, look after the dogs and they are locked up at night.
