Penn Badgley: Dating Blake Lively Might Not be The Best Idea

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Is Penn Badgley having second thoughts about dating “Gossip Girl” co-star Blake Lively?

“Having a relationship with someone you work with might not always be the smartest move,” the 22-year-old actor told Men’s Health in its November issue. “But, it’s been wonderful to be in a relationship where we can both identify with what the other is experiencing.”

One of those experiences that he hopes Blake is understanding about are his throngs of devoted “Gossip” fan – many who tend to be young women.

“When you’re involved in something like this, you have to work really hard to see it from the outside,” Penn said of the “Gossip” craze. “When I’m surrounded by 100 teenage girls – that’s when it’s hitting me in the face. Those are interesting, revealing moments for me.”

And when it comes to fashion, Penn appears to be a lot like his “Gossip” character, Dan Humphrey.

“There’s a stigma about looking like you’re tying too hard, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try at all,” he said of his personal style. “I really think that’s a bigger mistake.”
