LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Katy Perry, Russell Brand – and even Elmo – are speaking out about the “Sesame Street” video that PBS pulled from the long-running children’s show.

“Wow, looks like my play date with Elmo has been cut short! If you still wanna play see it at www.katyperry.com Tag you’re it, Elmo!,” Katy Tweeted on Thursday.

Her finace, British comedian Russell Brand, also weighed in, Tweeting, “today’s Sesame Street will NOT be brought to you by the number 34 or the letter D.”

Russell sent an additional Tweet to Katy about the video, writing, “Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sex-with-me Street?”

On Friday, Elmo addressed the controversy during an appearance on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

“We’ll have another one. Elmo loves Ms. Katy and we had a good time,” Elmo told George Stephanopoulos. “So we’ll have another play date.”

No word when Katy might appear for a second time on “Sesame Street,” but this weekend, she’s the musical guest on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” with host Amy Poehler.
