Pharrell Williams has made another splash at an awards show – turning up in shorts at the Oscars.
“I can’t take the credit for it,” Pharrell told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush on the red carpet. “It’s Lanvin!”
“It’s a whole Lanvin suit,” Pharrell added of his designer duds.
At the Grammys last month, Pharrell made a big impression in a Vivienne Westwood hat, and he recently auctioned it off for charity.
“I think it got to like 20K, I’m not sure,” Pharrell told Billy. “I wasn’t keeping up with it. It’s going to our charity – From One Hand To AnOTHER, and basically, we’re just trying to like, further push the pertinence and the importance of education with our youth.”
Tonight, Pharrell performs his song, “Happy,” at the Oscars, and he told Billy, he is “very honored,” to do so.
And the tune is the first single on his new album, “G I R L,” which drops tonight.
“12 AM on the East Coast, 9 PM on the West Coast,” Pharrell told Billy. “I hope you guys like it. It’s my best work ever!”
