LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
The Season 6 cast of “Dancing With the Stars” was announced during the finale of “Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann,” earlier tonight.
Actress Marlee Matlin and entertainer Penn Jillette were among the first stars announced last night for the cast. Their announcement joined that of radio jock Adam Carolla, who used his radio breakfast show to confirm he would be dancing with Julianne Hough on Monday morning.
Former Olympian Kristi Yamaguchi, Tony-winning Broadway star ("Hairspray's" original 'Tracy Turnblad') Marissa Jaret Winokur, and Telenovela star Christian De La Fuente were the next announced as part of the next season of "Dancing."
Tennis champ Monica Seles was then in, as was R&B singer Mario (who sang the hit song “Let Me Love You”), and “3 Men and A Baby” and "Police Academy" franchise star Steve Guttenberg.
The final three contestants confirmed were Miami Dolphin Jason Taylor, actress Shannon Elizabeth (of “America Pie” fame) and Priscilla Presley.
Season 6 will premiere on March 17 in a special 2-hour episode.
