It’s prom season, the ultimate date night for teens, filled with unforgettable memories. But for parents and their kids, there are always concerns of drinking, sex, and overall safety. Access Hollywood Live gathered together a group of teens from Long Island and the New York chapter of Girl Inc. to get their thoughts about high school’s biggest night. How do the girls plan on staying safe and still having a good time?

Crazy. It's a lot. What if you don't have a date in do you go solo? Are you confident enough to go by yourself. You go by yourself people judge you if you're not with someone else. I think it's more memorable when you're asked a fun cute way. Tell me, you got the fish bowl -- There's a poster on it said of all the fishes in the sea will you go to prom with me? Fish in a fish bowl. It was cute. My friend is in wood shop so he cut out all the wood and said prom and put it on my lawn with roses waiting for me. Will you go to prom with me? Yes. School has nothing to do with after or before prom. The only thing they're taking care of what's going on at prom. When is prom over? At 11:00. See you Monday. Yeah. Prom goes into the night and because we're here in the city. Some people sleep over after prom like someone else's house. That's what I did. There was no curfew for me. For like normally like goes to the comedy club, like get home around 3:30, 4:00. Like prom and they want you to have some of your friends. They don't expect you doing all this stuff. They expect a little drinking. Get like a party bus an limo. Not worry about that. I don't know. Like me I don't plan to go to drink. I plan to have fun. ♪♪♪♪ The kids actually peer pressure the bus driver tipping them $600 tip for them to drink. Like 60 kids on the bus. Everyone put in $20. And so then they could all drink on there. They trashed the whole entire house. They set the kitchen on fire. Oh. They did everything. They took all the stuffing out of the bed. They threw stuff out the window. Someone took a poop out the window. Oh. Drinking is a bigger issue than sex on prom night? Definitely. Drinking is easy. Put it in your purse or pocket. Oh, that's a big one. So do you feel like pressure to kind of keep up with the guys? Guys think they can take advantage of you with some girls. Honestly -- They know the girls are drinking so I can definitely take advantage of her. Do you feel that's an awkward play with guys on prom fight, they're going to maybe get some action on prom night? They think. I don't know how sure that statement is but they think they will. I just move away. Get the girl drunk is the concept. Yeah. Joined by parenting expert and editor of mom.me, Anne Marie o'neill. We heard the kids. What's the next move for the parents? We have tips. If you look back at our own prom and think when you're 16, 17, 18 you want to get up to something on prom night. It's when the safety issue comes in that parents need to be concerned. Safety with the drinking and driving or -- Drinking and driving and sex. I think that what most parents are concerned about is not will my daughter have a couple of glasses of champagne. No drinking, no sex. If there's not a ton of drinking there will be no sex. No one has that courage at that age. Inhibitions are down. One of the girls said someone might take advantage of. You.
