LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- After more than five years of being engaged and plenty of heated fights on “The Real Housewives of Miami,” Joanna Krupa has called off her engagement to Romain Zago.
A rep for the 33-year-old Polish model/reality star confirmed news of the split to Access Hollywood on Tuesday.
The former couple spoke out about the split with InTouch, who first reported the news.
“We got in a huge fight, and I just pretty much got fed up with it,” Joanna, who also competed on “Dancing with the Stars,” told the mag. “He loves me to death, he wants to be with me, but there’s something that’s holding him from committing 100 percent.”
According to Romain, the blonde bombshell’s busy travel schedule is to blame.
“I don’t know if it’s over forever but I’m pretty pissed,” he exclusively tells In Touch. “She is traveling all over the place anyway. There is no way anyone can be with her like this. That’s her choice.”
Earlier this month, Joanna appeared on Access Hollywood Live, where she spoke candidly about her busy professional life and Romain’s recent flirtation with an employee (as seen on the hit Bravo series), something that she maintained was “mentally unfaithful, never physically.”
“I focused on my life and put him on the side,” she said of why their relationship took a temporary turn for the worse. “If our relationship was perfect and I found those e-mails, then yeah, I would have been done, but the fact that I wasn’t perfect and I didn’t give a 150 percent in the relationship as well, so I’ll take blame as much as he will.”
She also said their relationship in the bedroom was less than stellar.
“You would think we’d be in the bedroom all day and all night, but no,” Joanna said at the time. “I don’t know [what the problem is,] ask him. I think he works too much and is stressed.”
Adding, “We gotta fix it.”
