LOS ANGELES, Calif.
Rebecca Black – 14-year-old “Friday” singer/aspiring pop star – has opted to withdraw from her Anaheim Hills, Calif. school in favor of home schooling due to her newfound popularity.
“My school has a rule that if we have to miss school for entertainment purposes, like for acting or singing, then it counts as like-- you get an unexcused absence, so you don’t get credit on your work,” Rebecca told Access Hollywood at the” America’s Got Talent” YouTube results show in Los Angeles on Wednesday when asked why she chose to leave. “I was missing a lot of school and faking sick a lot, so it was getting hard.”
