Reese Witherspoon Set To ‘Rule’ The Big Screen

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Reese has signed on to star in and produce “Rule #1,” a drama about a New York woman who befriends a Puerto Rican girl with attention deficit disorder, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Terrel Seltzer, who co-wrote the George Clooney/Michelle Pfeiffer 1996 romantic comedy “One Fine Day,” penned the script for “Rule.”
Reese most recently lent her voice to last spring’s animated hit “Monsters vs. Aliens,” but was last seen on the big screen opposite Vince Vaughn in 2008’s “Four Christmases.”
She will next star in a still-untitled James L. Brooks ensemble comedy alongside Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson and Jack Nicholson, which is due in theaters in December 2010.
