NEW YORK, New York --
Things flared up on “The View” again this week, as the ladies argued about Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, but Elisabeth Hasselbeck says she can take the heat.
According to a rep for Hasselbeck, the co-host of the daytime talk show is staying on “The View,” not leaving for Fox News, as rumors have stated.
“While Elisabeth has a great relationship with Fox News, there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that she is leaving ‘The View,’” a rep for Hasselbeck said in a statement to Access Hollywood. “Elisabeth is passionate in her beliefs and enjoys being a part of this dynamic group of women and engaging in daily conversations.”
And apparently, the feeling is mutual.
“Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie, executive producers of ‘The View,’ consider Elisabeth to be vital to the program,” an ABC rep told Access in a statement.
Elisabeth joined the show in 2003. She has butted heads frequently with her co-hosts over political issues, including several highly publicized arguments with then-moderator Rosie O’Donnell in 2007. Rosie subsequently left the show.
