Rep: Ashlee Simpson Not In Labor — Yet

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Caption Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson backstage at the 2008 MTV Video Music AwardsDespite a report to the contrary, expectant mom Ashlee Simpson is not in labor, her rep confirmed to Access Hollywood on Sunday.

A report surfaced on Sunday, claiming the pop star had gone into the hospital on Friday with husband Pete Wentz to deliver their child, the couple’s first.

However, later in the day, the same report chalked it up to a “false alarm.”

So while Sunday wasn’t the day Pete and Ashlee become parents, the baby should arrive sooner than later, according to Pete.

“Our due date is around Thanksgiving,” he told Playboy in September, adding that the couple was “90 percent” sure it would be a boy.
